Striking the balance.

The chancellors autumn statement made it adundently clear - if you hadn't already guessed - The UK economy is in a mess. Interesting political judgement by Ozzie yesterday as he raises the state pension age for those retiring after 2026.

I should resist temptation to suggest that a hard day standing round the brazier might come as a shock to many but my distaste for the strikes is in part fired by sympathy those colleagues across the built environment sectors who arent fortunate enough to still be in a position to withdraw labour.

There is always an underlying issue- people living longer. Planners cannot lose sight of our role in ensuring we provide housing, healthcare, infrastructure and the like that is fit for purpose of an ever ageing population.

Up the workers brother.
